Meet the Founder
Antonio Ruffin is the founder of Ruffin Consulting Group, a mission-driven consulting firm dedicated to strengthening afterschool programs, youth-serving organizations, and community-based systems. His work is rooted in a simple but urgent reality—too many families are unable to access quality afterschool programs, not because the need isn’t there, but because programs often lack the structure, staffing, and resources to expand. Antonio has spent years working in youth development and out-of-school time programs, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges organizations face—from limited capacity and staff burnout to inconsistent program quality and long waitlists. Through that experience, he recognized that many programs don’t fail due to lack of passion, but due to lack of systems. That realization led to the creation of the Ruffin Community Build Model™ and the S.T.R.U.C.T.U.R.E. Framework—a practical, scalable approach to building stronger programs, developing staff, and aligning community resources to better support youth. In addition to consulting, Antonio is the author of The Blueprint to Afterschool Leadership, a guide designed to help leaders think strategically, lead effectively, and build programs that create lasting impact. Through Ruffin Consulting Group, he partners with schools, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and community leaders to design, improve, and expand youth programs—while also supporting the development of structured sports programs such as AAU basketball and flag football to increase engagement and opportunity. His mission is clear: to help organizations build the systems they need to serve more youth, strengthen communities, and ensure that no child is left without access to safe, structured, and enriching opportunities.
